Carlow Camogie have confirmed in a statement that Senior Manager James Murphy has stepped away due to personal reasons.
Carlow had made an encouraging start away to Derry in Round 1 losing out to a late goal, but found the going tough against Offaly last weekend.
They have players of real quality in their ranks and are due out again on March 9th in Westmeath under new Management.
The statement reads:
“Carlow Camogie wishes to thank James Murphy for his efforts since December and wish him well at this time.
“A Management Team has been put in place by the Carlow Camogie Executive and this Management Group, Players and County Board are committed to continuing plans for the remainder of the Very Ireland League, Leinster Championship and Glen Dimplex All Ireland Championship.
We will be making no further comments at this time out of respect to the outgoing Manager.”
