It's a case of an unstoppable force meeting an immovable object as all roads lead to O'Moore Park again this weekend.

This time it's the turn of the Carlow Hurlers as they look to maintain their unbeaten League run against Laois who are in the exact same position ahead of the 6pm throw in on Saturday.

Brian Tracey has been a constant for Carlow between the sticks and he feels that it's going to be another serious contest.

"We have had a couple of ding dong battles over the last few years and we don’t expect Saturday to be any different. Neighbouring counties always adds a little extra." he said.

There's been a real change in the trajectory of where the squad is at right now in comparison to the same time last year in terms of depth and in how they are moving on the field of play.

Tracey is of the view that there are a couple of factors in this.

"We haven’t had as many involved with college squads this year and we’ve been lucky to not pick many injuries during the preseason games." he added.

With Carlow and Laois nicely primed, Brian reckons two determined sides will really not be lacking in motivation come Saturday.

"Both sides have started the league well. Both teams will want to win and try be in that top spot come 8pm Saturday evening." he concluded.

And it really is as simple as that!
