77: A long Kilkenny clearance falls in no-mans land, Dion Wall jab lifts the ball and angles a low cross-field ball towards the stand sideline where Donagh Murphy gives chase and forces Tom Phelan into conceding the line-ball. Phelan though gets possession of the sliotar and tosses it into the stand. The referee, implementing a rule many spectators were unaware off, awarded a free for the ‘delaying’ action, this free 13m forward of the offence.
